League Message
The Concept
Old School Leagues (OSL) are based on the major sports (EPL-MLB-NASCAR-NBA-NFL-NHL-PGA) members participating in multiple fantasy leagues as authentic GM/Franchise experience against elite & friendly competition. Leagues have similar settings to simplify rules with exception that tiebreakers will differ per sport. Theme is to provide entertainment & to honor the history of each sport
OSL also plays seasonal roto games: NCAAB, NCAAB March Madness, NCAAF, NCAAF Bowl Mania, MLB-NBA-NFL-NHL Playoff Brackets
The Leagues
H2H consist of 16 Teams, 4 Divisions per League with 4 Teams per Division
Divisions: Atlantic, Northwest, Southeast, Pacific
Division allignment based on owners region/franchise name & to create friendly cross sports rivalries
*EPL, MLB-Roto, NASCAR, NCAAB, NCAAF, PGA are Roto formats based on Overall Standings of Rotisserie Points
The League Managers (LMs): Adrian, John, Romel, Steve W.
LMs Responsibilities: LMs authorized to fully operate leagues in absence of the Commish
*Reactivate Leagues: review league & draft room settings
*League Draft preparation: draft board & picks including previous seasons trades updated correctly
*Enforce Player Eligibility/Position Limits: roster & position limits, DL/IR, rookies & minors eligibility of Illegal Roster Violations
*Trade Review: review for collusion, career ending injuries, roster dumping of current trade(s)
*Vote on League Settings proposals & Code of Conduct Issues (disciplinary actions)
*Assist with Seasonal Trophies & League Record BooksThe Franchises
Team Names/Avatars can be combination of owners region, favorite teams (including fictional & non-fiction names) from current or defunct professional/amateur franchises, literature & movies. No profanity or gang associations allowedThe Owners
Owners are elite fantasy gurus selected on their honor, activity & commitment levels. Owners agree to abide by league rules listed within. Members have first option of any franchise that becomes available before recruiting message boards. LMs post openings in all leagues with 1 week deadline to reply. LMs select owners based on overall activity & commitment
The Preseason 1/4: Reactivation-Trading-Keepers
Leagues Reactivated
LMs reactivate leagues after Fantrax offseason maintenance to the fantasy game. LMs verify league settings, edit draft board to Fixed Format (Straight Rounds), verify traded draft picks from previous seasons/offseason & unlock trading (players/draft picks), create league polls/voting: proposals to league settings (if needed, proposals submitted by members & approved by LMs)Polls/Voting
LMs create Polls on League Message Forum & it's expected all members vote by league deadline posted. Proposals to change league settings (if needed). Majority votes needed to change league settings (9 votes in 16 team formats, 7 votes in 12 team formats)Preseason Trades
Members may trade any Player(s)/Draft Pick(s) prior to Keeper Deadline (usually 2-3 days prior to League Draft). After Keeper Deadline members may trade Player(s)/Draft Pick(s) up to 1 hour prior to Live Draft but required have max number of keepers on active rosterKeepers Retained
Mandatory retain players each preseason. Members that do not submit full list by league deadline, LMs select players based on previous seasons stats & projected stats for upcoming season. If teams are below minimal requirements LMs reverse last transaction(s)
*Keeper Deadlines: 2-3 days prior to live draft
*Players not designated as keeper: dropped into draft pool/waivers by Fantrax system
*Players retained as keepers: posted on draft board thread (Message Forum) by team/position after league deadline*Minors Reserve: optional keep 0-3 prospects that do NOT count against active roster keepers, however for every prospect retained unable move to Minors Reserve slot when selecting eligible player at live draft & team roster needs to be legal prior first game regular season ot receive Illegal Roster Violation (stats will NOT accure)

Note: at Live Draft eligible players can be moved to Minors Reserve but NOT Injured Reserve roster slots
*Teams can trade away draft picks & be under the number of Roster Positions available

"Fantrax system will try to fill all open Active slots first with the players in your queue and then your own pre-ranked players. Once all Active slots are filled, it will then fill the open Reserve slots with the players in your queue and then own pre-ranked players. This means that the top player in your queue/pre-ranked players will not necessarily be your next pick"The Preseason 3/4: Post Draft
Trading-Waivers Unlocked
LMs unlock trading & waivers at immediate conclusion of live draft. Members may trade players & future seasons draft picks with 1 day waiting period on pending Waiver Claims following draft (Post Draft Waiver Claims processed Tuesdays @ 4:30AM EST)Trade Block
Strongly encouraged to update your teams trade block with players who are available or untouchable & categories you are looking to add/deal. Members option to post additional comments including draft picks or "Not Interested in Trading" to eliminate unwanted proposalsWaiver Priority - Post Draft
LMs manually reset waiver priority to original draft order (prior trades) allowing previous seasons worst teams best chance to improve via draft & period/day 1 waivers. This is the only time in MLB-NBA-NHL that previous seasons worst teams are given advantage on waivers. After first waiver claims are processed (Tuesday morning @ 4:30am EST), waiver priority reverts to 'Move After Last Claim' for remainder of season, once teams make successful claim they move to last waiver priority until next teams successful claimsNote: NFL Waiver Priority manually reset original draft order (prior trades) then every Tuesday night starting Week 2 (Wednesday mornings @ 4:25am EST) based on League Tiebreakers. All other leagues use 'Move After Last Claim' for remainder of Regular Season & Playoffs. NFL reverts to 'Move after Last Claim' start of Playoffs (Wednesday morning @ 4:30am EST of Wild Card Round) hence no Division Standings in Postseason

Code of Conduct 1/3: Honor & Respect, Leave of Abscence, Collusion & Cheating, Roster Dumping
Honor & Respect
OSL members swear on their honor to always be honest & truthful in all aspects managing their franchise, to always be respectful to fellow owners, to abide by all rulings by League Managers including decisions they disagree with (can appeal anything) or that may negatively impact their franchise. Do not take anything too seriously and don't ever retaliate simply advise Commissioner of any problems with other owner(s)
*Always have fun & be respectful
Leave of abscence
Members that need time away from leagues take care of important family issues. Please inform Commish/League Manager's how long you'll be away & you're franchises not taken away due to inactivity. Members have multiple options of co-owner running day-to-day operations and/or authorizing League Managers to submit daily line ups. If LM is playing that team another LM will set line upsCollusion & Cheating
*Owners NOT allowed own more than 1 franchise per sport/format. League Managers may take control inactive teams to fill league prior to Live Draft (unable draft without full league)
*Owners not allowed to circumvent league rules by intentionally transacting lopsided trades in order to beat any paticular team or allow another team to become unbeatable
*Owners make clear they are offering injured or retiring players in trade proposals
*Owners not allowed drop player(s) to Waivers in order allow another owner claim/add to their franchiseRoster Dumping
*Owners not allowed to "Dump" players they are not retaining as keepers in Preseason to stockpile draft picks. This is fine line we all deal players we dont plan on utilizing as keeper but members cannot trade off half their roster that receiving team wouldnt be able keep all players or trade away. League Managers will review and allow or reverse trades deemed as Roster Dumping
*Owners not allowed to "sell" off franchise players for anyone not deemed worthy retaining as keeper (IE: trade deadlines). Another fine line to walk, members can trade away franchise player to primarily receive draft pick compensation then drop player(s) received if needed to make intial transaction
Code of Conduct 2/3: Emails & Instant Messaging, PrivacyEmails & Instant Messaging
Owners always respect each other. No one is allowed to attempt to bully, intimidate or even be rude by swearing when discussing trades via email or instant messaging (league chat or phone). If you are caught (owner copies/pastes message for Commissioner review) you'll be immediately removed from all OSL formats. Not joking this has happenedPrivacy
Always respect everyone's privacy. If owner has their email/phone number publicly visible you do not share with anyone (league member or general public) or worse sell for profit. Please inform that member & League Managers their info is visible thanks (Commish info visible for direct contact)
Owners do not use league directory to sell products, use in polls or anything scam related
Code of Conduct 3/3: Disciplinary ActionDisciplinary Action
*Minor offenses the owner receives warning not to do it again with detailed explanation. League Managers discuss scenario & agree on reasonable penalty (IE: apology to specofoc member or league, forfeit future draft picks)
*Minor offenses x Three strikes & you're out, should have learned from first two mistakes
*Major offense Commish by passes LM's & promptly removes owner without explanation (we're all adults)Owner Replaced
Members can be replaced for disciplinary action, inactivity or retirement from OSL
*Commish always recruits within OSL ranks first by posting on message forum and sending league emails
*Waiting lists to join OSL formats, openings offered to member who has waited the longest
*Members should make Commish/League Managers aware all sports formats they want to join----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
